Located at 6420 E Pacific Coast Hwy Ste 140, Long Beach, CA 90803, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream operates as an ice cream shop serving Long Beach in California. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as dessert shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Long Beach, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across California, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (718) 550-5665. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is vanleeuwenicecream.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 423 reviews, which is a strong result for an ice cream shop in Long Beach and suggests consistent service.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

One of the few authentic real ice cream companies! One of five ice cream brands that don’t use Chemicals and fillers in their ice cream. This location is by the Los Alamitos Bay Marina on 2nd and PCH in the 2nd & PCH center. Many flavors to choose from as well as vegan options and ready to go pints! Friendly customer service and great quality!

I got recommended to try this ice cream as it is their favorite ice cream brand. I sampled a few new flavors I’ve never heard of and some tasted good but I didn’t think I’d wanna eat a whole scoop of these interesting flavors. So I opted to get a scoop of strawberry (I didn’t sample it beforehand bc I assumed it’d just taste like strawberry but I was wrong 😭) I took my first bite and I realized it tasted a lot different than the strawberry ice cream I’m familiar with. I think my tastebuds are maybe just a bit underdeveloped but it just tasted a bit like cream cheese with a hint of strawberry. Maybe it was on me for not researching beforehand what this place and their ingredients were about but it kinda just wasn’t for me. The line was kinda long too. I realized that these ice places are more known for trying new and unique flavors. So maybe if I ever come back, I’ll just try eating a scoop of their new flavors or so to expand my taste buds πŸ˜‹

It’s a good spot to try different types of ice creams. They have special flavours that you probably won’t find anywhere else. One of my favourite flavours is the honey comb flavour and the other one that is mango and sticky rice.

Definitely a high end ice cream place. Wonderful, delicious, smooth and right amount of sweetness. Great service, great seating area inside…great vibe and privacy. There is also outside seating throughout the center. Really enjoys this place when in the area or on hot days with extra money in the pocket.

Sweet baby Jesus with all the fixings, this place was perfect for a fix to your sweet tooth. Came here with the family and enjoyed ice cream how it's intended to be.... My way. The cookie Sunday is perfect in every way. Staff was friendly and has all ice creams to feed your desires. The atmosphere was poppy and modern.
